About the Client Services Internship

The client services internship provides real-world experience in three departments - media, public relations and client services. Interns spend 3-4 weeks in each department, learning firsthand each of their roles within the agency. Each rotation provides opportunity to work on our various clients.

Account Services:

  • Perform competitive analysis for the agency's clients
  • Maintain contact with various clients and assist with account management responsibilities
  • Complete creative requests and communicate assignments with internal teams, including creative, production, traffic, media, public relations and interactive
  • Participate in internal meetings, creative briefings and brainstorming

Media:

  • Assist with media placements
  • Competitive research and analysis
  • Account and order maintenance
  • Assist with online post buys

Public Relations:

  • Draft public relations documents, including media releases
  • Build media lists for existing clients
  • Produce agency newsletter
  • Assist with placement of clients' products and/or services
  • Utilize social networks to promote clients and the agency

Doe-Anderson interns are also provided the opportunity to interact directly with our clients - we'll never ask you to make coffee! What we do ask for is dedication, hard-work and motivation. You must have a proven interest in advertising, strong communication skills and a solid academic record.

Fall/Spring Internship
For credit only
Minimum 15 hours per week required*
Fall Internship: September - December
Spring Internship: January - April

Summer Internship
For credit only
Minimum 20 hours per week required*
Summer Internship: May - August
